today i found one thing in common between chocolate and shopping- they both make me high; i really dunno where the boost of energy comes from, but really really they do!
i was quite down in the dumps this morning, maybe because i realise that i find myself wandering around school alone just looking for someone/something to DO! like im so friendless or smtg right? when there's ppl around me, i duntch talk to them. then when there's noone, i complain. what is this man- antisocial or what! haha ok la time to make new friends? boo..what a daunting task *_*
anyway, yes, time for a proper entry. let's start with thursday: when i suddenly fell sickk plus was nursing my sore ankle ): [my mum says i have a low threshold for pain: Ponstan for mildly sore ankle, anyone? haha she says the only time she took Ponstan was when she got cut open to deliver linda-baby! haha] so i took mc in the hope of using the day to rest and make sure im well enough for friday's night hike!! BUT it turned out to be a day of walking here and there... -_- thanks to WonderMum...
at night i went to the Masquerade Ball at Regent Hotel with my mum. lyna was so agitated that i could fall asleep while getting makeup put on my face hahaha (hello, the yellow running nose tablets so totally causes drowsiness can!)anw, the dinner was quite cool. the menu was quite the standard hotel dinner you know, that fish and that prawn dish thingy.. the emcee was slightly funny so it wasnt too bad; 2 of the games were hilarious and it was great fun seeing all the people in Victorian dresses and suits, definitely! my mum's cancan was the biggest in the room, no doubt! haha XD
alrighto on to friday: o level results!! haha like real only i say padahal get one paper onleh -_-' i was half an hour late! gosh sometimes i surprise myself, even! i had to collect my results from the GO. luckily managed to catch the cikgus.
after results, went out with liy, kaly, karim, lestari andd... noo! (: we strolled around fareast (hais..kenang2an...) then went for a meal (my dinner) at luckyplaza.
ok blablabla and now on to odac night hike!! (: (: (: i was late, missed part of the briefing (ok, im starting to think i have punctuality problem.. haha) we hiked from school to i dunno what's that place behind school to macritchie reservoir and bukit timah area where we passd what seemed like many many peeps' houses (call them houses! more like castles la wahlao!!) and walked through botanical gardens where im guilty of disturbing the kissing couple (hahaha come on it was harmless fun! :P). we walked and walked for what seemed like ages though im not veh sure where till we reached KAP macs where we rested for 15mins or so [PHeW!] after that, we headed for BukitBatok Nature Reserve were we played that amusing but silly game "fill the pail" (and kind of cheated. hahaha) but i say: pond plaza's darnit cool!! the backdrop, i mean. like coolios it was this huge rock structure which i never really thought existed in s'pore. (: ok im absolutely incoherent about the sequence from here, but basically we trudged along the never-ending mandai rd at 4am and i got really kind of high after val's peanutbutter m&m's (im so gonna bring them on every expedition! :D) and grace, michelle and i played some stupid, wierded, funked-out, crazed games. [i recall it was sane till grace decided that Yakuzuzu or smtg was a type of rabbit -_-] however, as morning came and the sun peeked out and we stated on the even longer upper thompson rd, we were pretty much GoNE, man! haha our poor feet must've thought they'd died! haha.. and to think rachel could even think of ice-skating later! group 4 reached school about 8, and i took a quick shower before the other groups reported back, looking as stoned as we felt. all of us were walking funny and it was honestly VeRy amusing! XD haha
so yup night hike was a great even if tiring experience, im glad i didnt miss it over a stupid flu or a petty ankle cos it would'nt have been worth it. my thanks to grp4, for being the best smallest grp ever! especially grace and michelle of course, for being great company through the night :D haha and ofcourse, the j2s especially heidi and johnsng for sticking with us all the way, and val for her m&m's (: and all the other j2s for being there. odac the one!! (:
