Hari Raya today! I went to bed at 3am last night (working on beloved Geog); think that's late? Mama turned it at 5+ 0_o My mom is superwoman in disguise! So in the morning was the usual raya prettifying regime(: 3 of us salam-ed mama (wish Mom Selamat Hari Raya and ask for herforgiveness) and then off to nenek's. We went out w papa in the evening; the usual riot that's their excuse for an extended family... A few pointers for the day:
Sampled a DEELightful array of pineapple tarts (kuih tart) today :D :D :D Kuih tarts + chocolate chip cookes makes ely very happy~ hoho. The yummiest kuih tart of the day goes to *drumroll* abang fairuz!!! He actually made kuih tarts this year how amusing... They were absolutely delicious; bite-sized and melt-in-your-mouth... perfecto!
In terms of dishes (lauk-pauk), best overall = eating back home(: reason? well... simply cos i love mama & the girls. We don't have serondeng (sweet, grated coconut) this year, but since it's my most favoritest dish, best serondeng of the day = wak ani's no surprise here(: wak ani do = wak ani wins la hah :D
Cutest kid of the day = little Idhar. Super bello, super cute... And i love that he loves to take care of his baby sis; adorable like anytg! >< >< ><
Some things aren't going to change e.g. mama and lyna will continue to scream each other (and the damn house one day im sure) down daily and say many many things to hurt each other... sometimes these snaps will spillover and linda or i will get pulled in and involved in one of the debacles (which really sucks)
BUT
For one day this year, well we tried...
Listening to the din upstairs now, it lasted all of 1 day. It's 12.07am, 2Oct08 now; lyna's sniffing and answering back defiantly and mama's screaming in her face.
And you wonder why I don't like being home. Home my ass. Sigh.
Suck it up ely. QUIT e whining! pfft.
