Climb On! 2008

Climb(ed) on! on Sunday(: Wasnt too late meeting Jud and Chuanming @ Wsands yakun to pack bfast (Stay at pasiris still late! tsktsk whatodo...). Jansen kindly picked us up to pasiris park. This year's tees were bright bright yellow singlets. wah really bright. watching the event from afar must've been quite intriguing (what are all these bright-colored martians doing scrambling up colorful walls?) :P

Anymanyways, man was it a day of climbing joy! Walls and routes and climbers galore; how not to have a good time... Man was it fun i felt kinda like a kid at an amusement park whose parents had bought him the "unlimited rides" ticket XD Borrowed Lala's ankle guard for the day (actually from Jud who'd borrowed from Lala hehe) but the adrenaline (and i did try to be careful and watch where i was falling) and excitement was enough to largely take my mind off my ankle. so no pain. till it got to resting time then 0_o! but i guess tts what resting time's for hah.

Kinda miss the Mon trngs when we did the full-blown PT; run-till-like-wanna-die (i exaggerating only la; everyone else ok only i like wanna die) + pullups + all-those-sets... It's kindof the same thing as Meredith said: "Maybe we like the pain. Maybe we're wired that way. Because without it, I don't know; maybe we just wouldn't feel real. What's that saying? Why do I keep hitting myself with a hammer? Because it feels so good when I stop."; it's the shiokness of the tiredness at the end?

Lyna Mama and Linda came over to peekaboo after that they were all so eager to pick up climbing too but maybe its like Meredith said last night: "That feeling like you can do anything- It goes away." and mama couldnt help boasting that she'd climbed all the way in places like Pahang and Denver. ok, wtv rocks ur boat (w/o sinking mine, thankyou).

KenSim gave us a ride so i went home sitting in a car boot for the 1st time in my life no kidding. After freshening up and the inevitable nap that followed but which kept getting punctured by the lovely sisters (kaksa wake up!!! rach ray!! - kaksa wake up!!! national treasure starting!! - kaksa wakeup!!! wanna go out alr go change!!), we brought wak ani (aka cinderella) out for a birthday treat. like isnin wrote, wak ani really kinda is the hero of our family duno how she does it man but she does.. RESPECT! wanted to maybe catch a movie but i was a lil bit sian of watching movies so luckily wak ani had to be back by 12mn (cinderella mah hah :D) and we went to the Korean BBQ restaurant at Downtown instead. I'd missed lunch earlier that day and my breakfast was prolly somewhere in the area of my intestines by then, so YAYYY needless to say i was uber glad. plus point: the chicken there henhenhen3 hao3 chi1 de!

Had Chi oral exam today which went... Hmm not bad, but not good either lah. It was the type of thing where as soon as i finished i was like "shux i should've said/done that". and i forgot how to say morning so describing that particular zhaopian was a lost cause for me while i stuttered my way half-convincingly through the rest; at least she said my 1st pic was good.. Saddd :X

Free food after Karim's EL (last) lect. On the way down to LT11 i was reminded of what a character in a recent chick-lit novel i read said of New York after living there for a while and realizing how utterly expensive the simplest of things cost: "No wonder New Yorkers are so thin; they can't afford to eat!" LOL

Ok got to psych self up to study for finals now the sprint to the end of the end has started! Began brainstorming for Geosphere ideas today was quite fruitful(: meeting my ahemahem publications director Xinying on Thurs to dicuss. GeogChallenge prog proposals deadline coming up feeling guilty for missing last mtg (see ankle sprain) so shall contact the cells hopefully tonight if not soon to catch up on progress woot!! Watched DesperateHousewives / Amazing Race 13 / Grey'sAnatomy :D / ET and some quickie show back2back last night; shall not allow it to become a habit (right...) esp. in this crucial stage when i NEED to get back on track.

Oh well time to go home; continue GE1011 assignment!
The popularised, followed and landmark US Presidential Elections voting today! (Or tmr for us, I guess. Haha i woke up today to "zomg! fourth november!" only to have to wait 13hours for those dudes to catch up.
