Prelim round today was a great success, thanks to the work put in by Jo, John and YuTing & co. in bringing it all together. It was as fantastic a kick-off for Geog Challenge 09 as possibly imagined. I think the best part was that everyone rose to the occasion beautifully. Well done GeogSoc; may this be the start of a smooth-sailing and successful GC.

I went to CL from RH today after the rain had subsided, and while i was walking from the bustop to the CentralF in my oh-so-cool way wearing my oh-so-cool jacket, suddenly splat! a big fat raindrop splattered right onto the lens of my specs. i quickly calculated between swiping the water off (thus losing some cool-ness) or carrying on walking as if nothing had happened, when i decided on the former simply cos i would lose a whole lot more cool-ness if i did not swipe the water off and ended up tripping over myself cos of obstructed vision. And i got reminded of that day at whats-tt-place-called when we had just enjoyed yummy tauhue and then suddenly splat! a pigeon peed+pooped on my hand, splattering gerry as well. eeeyucks.
