imagine a "classroom" years from today, in a time when the human species has successfully inundated the world with enough greenhouse gases and toxic chemicals to wipe itself out, dragging other earth-dwellers along in its path of self-destruction, a teacher tells the class about this extinct breed that once roamed the earth:
"the human species stupidly exploited their environment, directly causing their own extinction as a species" and goes on to explain "ok, so not a very smart bunch these homo spaiens... although they loved to think of themselves as the highest form of intelligent life. HA. HA. look what they ended up doing to themselves."
