let's take a train to anywhere: end of year 09 10 climbing trip chiang mai bangkok

Back from Tap Tap Trip oh i mean climbing trip.
Chiang Mai, northern Thailand.
Stayed at CM Blue House - double / triple rooms, night activity center: Room 204.
landing day, 2 days of climb, rest day, 2 days of climb.
Climbing was great, atmosphere's really nice too = wouldn't mind going back for more.
Natural leading rocks.. Flying over to taste routes; the thrill of new things: setting up, clearing, multi-pitching; being high up and by myself (though most of the routes i did here weren't that long) --> (y)!

Love Me was nice. Gerry set it up, Reg took it next then me. Day we were reminded how slow starting out on naturals is.. But it got better as we familiarized with the crag and walls.

Magic Drop keyword: Beta. haha.. Happy with how i managed to do this route, albeit with much help from the belaying ground.. And from watching the whole world (Wayne, Gerry, Reg, Daniel) do it first. Not as happy as the happiest girl that day, of course! Magic Drop's now Reg's highlight route; the route to which other routes she climbs shall be measured against. hahaha

Ayah! Set this up. Bouldery start (yikes), closest to being a by-myself route this trip though i guess that wasn't much kick for ST who was belaying me, calling to no response.

Reindeer Request was Rabbit's recommendation from the day before. Marisa set it up part way and Reg set up the rest (team effort? haha). Quite nice route, though i was squeezing Rabbit for beta half the time

Police smtg: 1st hang, not bad route, would've liked to send it if there was more time and i could get over the fact that it's really sharppp

Air-Conditioner: if i thought Police smtg was sharppp, this was yikes sharppp. Also called the Disfigure Me route.. too darn sharp to be enjoyable, but got nice photos out of this. Many people at the wall while i was climbing this (bleh) and ST dramatically slid down the dust, so a completely not by-myself route.

Chicken Shit: another happening route for Reg (1st lead fall, biggest lead fall of the trip, clean fall, upside down, wolverine, happy patient). i set it up but turns out i probably did the route wrongly cos Gerry and Shu clipped in to the anchor farrrr more stably.

(insert name of route inside the cave): almost speed climbed to clear this route.. cos it was time to leave. super dark. couldn't see nothing, can't remember it to enjoy it, got all scratched up on last day, last route, after days of careful climbing. hurhur.

Bangkok was pretty cool, i'd go again. try not to be sick although with the dirtiness of the place, it'll take maybe a jug of Vits a day.. 7-11 everywhere (as in CM too i think), money-sucking tuktuk and taxis everywhere that pretend to run on meter. only two things to do in bangkok: eat at Fuji Jap Restaurant and shop til u drop!
