BA routesetting

2 weeks of comps.
Gravical was last week..
* Shaoting (also known as shouting) promoted to OW, now she's aiming for milo. Allez!
* i didn't do well but it was expected i guess so after the initial upset cum embarrassment i am okay

Boulderactive this week!
Excitingly located in Orchard Central (i've had renewed enthusiasm for the venue after finding out that 106 goes straight there), Fri-Sun 12-14 March.
Did mega shifting with big lorry, ken's lorry and jansen's car last night. Stayed over with clara, claudia, rabbit, guniang, marisa, edwin, bert, hh to paint our HUGE walls. yixiong took a lovely pic of me with it (:


Our wall painting ended around 6plus. Pic of us with Neptune.. hh and bert are deliberating the color of the BA logo at other wall.


Eyes heavy and shagged ttm, 4 of us walked in the rain (i was the only one concerned about keeping my head dry) to clara's place for a delightful shower and nap. Back to OC at 9plus (thank goodness the walk back always seems shorter) in the rain (again i was the only one with clara's umbrella; protect your heads people!).

Route-setting was interesting. My 1st time setting comp. route. While ben suz edwin mounted the volumes, we started picking walls and tiles for our routes. Eventually my route was up. Trouble with screwing (height and skill or lack thereof with the allen key and complete absence of it wrt the impact driver) and lack of confidence in climbing means i got a lot of help from my friendly fellow wall users, route-testers, other route-setters, and uh everyone around me. Thanks much for being part of my perfect route. Less perfect from the process of route-manhandling that accompanies setting comp. routes, but still pretty pretty.

Left (or was shooed off based more on principle than any real possibility of my involvement in the IW finals) cos IW finals routes were beginning to be set. It was 3pm i hadn't realized it was so late. Nodded away on the journey back to school till i couldn't bring my butt to lecture and as soon as i reached my room, my bed pulled me into it. How could i resist.. ZZZ goodnight world.
