weather was perfect as can be;
shops discounts and items on sale were dazzling;
parking (well, getting OUT of the parking area in this case) was tortoise-paced;
the motel was shady; our 1st-time-driving-in-the-US drivers were oh-so-pro despite a couple of "keep right!! keep right!!!"s.
