trip to newport, rhode island

This weekend we took a trip to Newport, Rhode Island which is about an hour bus ride away. It's a coastal area, full of mansions and rich people's summer houses, sitting right along the Atlantic ocean. The temp. is warmer than here in Storrs, but it was way windier too so we didn't sit outside for long and soon ended up passing time in Panera Bread with coffee / tea / smoothie and bagel / muffin, writing postcards back home. :D

cam had run out of batt and i was staying over at eliza's so no charger thus i couldn't take any pics with it!! so saddd. thankfully val uploaded an album of our trip; eliza and tiffoo's cams have some real lovely photos too but they might take a hundred years to finally be shared with the world, so i'll post some of val's here 1st!
