It makes me quite upset when...
Fellow quiet study place users (or even in public places like cafes for that matter) make loud albeit involuntary noises like sneezing their noses off or coughing their lungs out and then don't say "excuse me" + continue making no effort to reduce their sneezing/coughing. I understand that most people don't see any reason to apologize for something they didn't intentionally do, but 1. the outcome, in terms of decibels, was exactly the same as if you had shouted across the room, and 2. i feel like saying "excuse me" sometimes can make themselves aware of the noise they're making. then as a manner of consideration if not hygiene go and clear your nose in the washroom or stop trying to dispel your germs as far as you possibly can by coughing passionately with mouths wide open. Seriously, sometimes people go on and on as if they aren't even aware how much noise their bodily functions are making.
-> It was so much nicer when the response to sneezing was "excuse me"-"bless you"-"thank you". But then again my vision's prob obscured by the "SEP goggles" that makes everything on SEP seem (: -er than it really is.
And even more when...
You can stare at me incessantly and nudge/whisper to your companion but you CANNOT tell me "excuse me, that plug doesn't work" before i plug my laptop in and it goes "peeew" when i remove the batt because the plug doesn't work AND YOU FREAKING KNEW IT AND ARE SITTING RIGHT THERE BUT CANNOT FREAKING TELL ME. It makes me angry (at no one in particular, just generally because it means i've dealt my already-fragile laptop yet another technical blow) and it makes me sad (because this may simply be a reflection of a general lack of social graces in this society).
