CNY house-hopping last weekend with the batch climbing folk :) though it slipped my mind to bring oranges, so the only pair i have remains untouched in office despite residing in a very pretty carrier bag - looks like they'll be entering my tummy soon.
had a good day visiting friends' houses, meeting their parents and (the best part) snooping around rooms in search of embarrassing childhood photos. i'm pleased to report on the success of our endeavours, having laid eyes upon Jansen's pouty baby photos happily presented to us by his dad aka the uncle with the many clocks (over 30 cuckoos. seriously uncle.); Shu's tribal but spick-and-span room and evidence of Jud's Hi Bobo modelling stint circa 1991 as well as her collection of dri-fit tees amassed from doing about a million sports (and oh many gleaming medals). i even scored a pair of lovely golden sandals hehe! <3
though i didn't share in the savory experience of bakwa and bakuteh (being 'halal' and all - whatever that's supposedly means; apparently it includes not being able to touch cushions in the shape of dogs. go figure!), J's mom's green bean soup specially made for our visit; mocha brewed with love at Cafe Lala; bakery-worthy cakes by Shu's mom; and you tiao at Jud's brought it "direct from NTUC" happily made up for it :D
in an attempt to fight the butt expansion resulting from these indulgences (and the far less indulging hours in the office), am trooping down to Amore w/ the girls for some stretchfit/pilates - which should be fun (when i'm not cheating via face-smear on fitness mat) but hopefully less intensive than the kickboxing sesh which left my arms nua and unuseable over the weekend o_O [fitness level: zero]. can't wait to get back to climbing, brand new chalk bag from Shu for inspiration :D
