Sam hopes she'll snag a gentleman. However, there are a few more details that aren't in tandem with her... ah shall we say quest.
1)Low proportion of gentlemen among the guys around her. (Maybe she needs to wait for post-NS eh?) But what happened, she ponders, to the Pierre Dulaine-esque fellows with their easy courtesy, kind hearts and impeccable attire? Have they become sidelined to merely being the stuff books (such as Pride & Prejudice, which incidentally, is one of Sam's fave reads) are made of? She feels sadness enveloping her heart as she takes her peek at the gyus on the shelf - surface-gentlemen, pure rougues and "street sweepers"/void deck dwellers. The rest are attached or gay -_-. How did this come to be!? screams her idealistic heart.
2)Sam's relative unattractiveness; in terms of common perception of beauty, anyway. Looks-wise, she belongs in the average dept. Not a gone-case, but nothing special. Personality-wise, she is blunt, cynical and sarcastic, stupidity-intolerant and swift to judge, albeit wrongly half the time ><, translating to her not giving many guys that many chances to prove themselves. Not as pretty as, or friendly as the other girls, Sam tends painfully to cosmic objectivity, hence successfully rejecting the most part of the real world. Coupled with point 1, so far the probability of Sam finding her her gentleman at this rate is extremely slim.
3)Sam's personal self may be deteriorating. Having not found her gentleman, she has been disappointed, and finding less reason to keep up prettiness and such, for why the effort when there's noone to appreciate it?, she thinks. This phenomenon turns into a vicious cycle, which Sam has begun to awake to and realise the utter absurdity of logic, or lack thereof, in the concept and may be on her way to self-improvement depending on her grit and determination this time round. YAY for Sam, and all the best!(: You don't need a man to be/feel beautiful. (Uh-huh) <-of cos, im not gonna tell Sam the Uh-huh part...
4)Sam tends to daydream instead of act. Sometimes she is caught in a situation, she imagines a whole separate event taking place as her response to the situation. So essentially, Sam is more passive than proactive (just as how George and Izzy are "watchers" while Meredith and Christina are "doers", as izzy pointed out in the latest episode of Grey's Anatomy, incidentally Sam's favourite tv show), more private than public, more closed than open, more frigid than wild. Secretly, Sam dearly wishes for a guy who's strong enough to attempt to break down her barrier; in fact, some days, there is little else she yearns for. Sadly, in all almost 18 years of her life this has not happened as the only guys she has had were let in through a tunnel they carved THROUGH the wall, rather than blasting the bloody wall to pieces. Sam sighs.
5)Sam has heard somewhere, the words of a wise person, that a matchmake occurs between two people who are alike. Put simply, yo umay only hope for a gentleman if you yourself are a gentlelady (like, for example, Scarlett O'Hara of Gone With The Wind, another one of Sam's faves). And Sam (LOL) is NOT a lady; at least not enough a lady as she would like her guy to be a gentleman. (btw, when Sam knew i'd typed this part about her, she roflhao. see what i mean? -_-) I sigh.

On another note, Sam is having a great day today - partly as Man U gave Liverpool a surprise (at Anfield, no less!) 1-0 victory and are basically zooming on to claim their title woohoo!!! She requests for me to put this up:

YEA MAN (U)!

Alright now on to ME ME ME (after all this IS my blog who is Sam to dominate it eh?) i had H3 Matriculation that day, and eveyrone knows abt my hair being hmmm..
