climbed my last NW route on Sunday(:
after a kinda unnerving round of NW finals.. cos i was one of 3 or 4 who placed 3rd in the qualifiers, and i was determined not to proceed to IW w/o a prize/medal/1st-2nd-or-3rd-placing.. haha that was not a declaration of materialism.. i just mean that placing felt just at the tip of my reach and i was so acutely aware sitting in the NW finals isolation, that the next 4 climbs would essentially define how i leave NW and enter IW. somehow it felt important for me to do well. and thankfully i did.. the biggestest, most smoochful, happiest bear (beruang) hug goes out to the wonderful team for coming down at a really 0_o time early morning and cheering me on; i couldnt have done it w/o you guys. lucky me, for the fabulous support! pheww.
climbed on Saturday for the tiebreaker (16 participants placed 3rd)..
it was just 1 attempt each on 1 route which was wall 3 IW qualifiers route, modified. they kept us back after our turns in case another tiebreaker was required but it wasnt(: 3 or 4 of us flashed the route, sharing 3rd. not a very comfortable place to be..
Saturday was also team event, which we lost due to.. wrong strategising as a whole, but i used a million attempts to finally get to tile number 1 -.- which was unneccessary cos as reg says, if you can reach it on later attempts it means you could've reached it on the 1st attempt. which was what echoed through me as i grabbed hold of tt oh-so-elusive tile.
climbed the NW qualifier routes on Fri~
Registration opened at 7plus at Novena so i stayed over at Fel's to avoid waking up at an ungodly time Fri morning(: Also met her new doggy, Elliot which is really cute.. The 1st 3 routes were alright; the 4th was tricky and i didn't do it =( 15 others had the same outcome. wonder how they felt.. i felt kinda bleargh.
very very happy plus very very tired after that last round.
then fell sick and took 2 days to recover.. plus am now official nanny of linda, meaning im spsd to babysit my kiddo sis during my term break. how yuck. cos it includes doing things like cooking which i have zero knack for so i end up washing up all the it seems lke zilions of woks and pots and pans tt i recruit to aid in my pitiful efforts to make smtg edible or at least not lethal. sigh. feel so out of place..
anddd my pumpfest prizes! which i dont yet really know what to do with...
