Each day that comes and passes is one less day left
One less to figure out this thing called life
Called figuring out what to do with all the time I'll have
Time I'll sell to someone, somewhere, for services rendered
You'd think some things would've figured themselves out by now
That somehow, you find what you want what you need, and how
To gain some semblance of a meaningful existence
Without being left behind nor sucked into the race
The time's come to don my gown or cape and the mortar board or hat
Pack up my bags and leave the residences and halls
That I've come to call home, my sanctuary, my 'place'
Leave all this behind, the life I know and will surely long for
