happy graduation, goodbye NUS

welcome to commencement week!

it's been 3 consecutive days of the UCC; 3 days of robes cardboard hats and brooms i mean hoods, orange / blue NUS balloons, pointed keynote speakers, wanting valedictorian speeches, department shoots, happy faces all round and tired feet. catching up with and congraluting friends, a short break away from endless novels and watching the news. a good time to remind myself to be thankful for everything i've been lucky enough to get and the people i'm blessed to have in my life :)

man i'm gonna miss the days of classes interspersed with (the more exciting) activities like... researching material in the physical or virtual NUS library for a paper that's always due too soon and put off for too long (who knew Jstor would have such a hold on me?); looking forward to 6.30pm at the gym on Mondays / Wednesdays for another session of fooling around cum training and oftentimes followed by slacking at supper (RH? NUH? or the ever-trusty Subway) despite having a paper waiting to be written; lunches, dinners and extended kopi breaks in between lessons and study times, yakking at leisure about everything under the sun like we have some sort of a clue; living every day my way and with the illusion that i can choose what time i wanna wake up when i wanna go to bed and whether that reading really needs to be done right now now now ;)

off into the real world i go, though unprepapred to take on the responsibilities and obligations i seem to have accumulated along the way somehow. hope my act comes together soon and i figure out what to do! back to jeffrey archer for now
