It is kind of awkward that I often refer to my 2nd sister as 'my 2nd sister' whilst the youngest gets 'my little sister'. Technically, I suppose my 2nd sister is really my 1st sister and the little one's my 2nd so misnomer #1 there. Then my little sister quit being literally little some time ago, right around end-2010 I think when I returned from exchange to face a towering giant version of the little sister I'd left behind 3 months ago. Nah, she's not that giant I have a tendency of exaggerating to make my point.
Speaking of the point, here's an extract of a letter I wrote to the 2nd sister today. Someone commented to me about our family seeming "weird" (to which, if I may, which freakin family isn't?). Anyway...
I had a blast of a birthday despite having to come to work, but then again my every day’s a blast because I am Miss Happening that way, with my books and my unfashionable - “comfortable” they call it – clothes. Linda got me a blazer and earbuds that have little moustaches on them so when I put them in my ears people may think I’ve hair growing out of my ears in the shape of moustaches – yup, your sisters are as glamorous as ever. I gorged myself on cakes like there’s no tomorrow (which I realize today was mere wishful thinking). I can’t help it if people are presenting cake after cake to me now, can I? And I couldn’t hurt their feelings by not licking up every last crumb. Duh. I had coffee & caramel cake from Antoinette and six, SIX mind you, halves of cupcakes from Twelve Cupcakes – peanut butter flavour, mocha, espresso, cookies & cream, red velvet, sea salt caramel.
So yes, I’m expecting to get diabetes tomorrow. Happy birthday to me, on your behalf :) Aww thanks sis, for remembering and all that I appreciate it really I do.
